So to drown my sorrows of no rain, I dropped Toby off at the hair salon for his summer cut and I headed out shopping. I shopped and shopped and shopped...what with 3 new bathrooms to fill, I had so much fun. Money be damned....ha I will probably regret that later, but it has been a long time since I have updated anything. And where I live there are plenty of shopping opportunities. I dropped some cash at Home Goods, Steinmart and Pier One. All great places for accessorizing just about anything. Here is just a peek at a purchase or two....
Spotted this cute little metal chair and thought it would be perfect for the bathroom upstairs to stack towels on...still have the price tag on, just in case I look at it a second time and decide it might not be the right decision. You can also see the new wall color....a yellow, a bright yellow I might add. When the painter began painting this on the wall I was a little surprised at how BRIGHT it was. Oh well, everyone needs sunshine in their lives and this will bring me sunshine everyday and everynight.
This is the downstairs powder room off of the family room. You can see the paint is still in the yellow family, but a little softer, exactly matches the wall-paper in the family room. I found this lady at Home Goods thought she deserved a spot in the new bathroom, altho she might complain later when she realizes there is no window in that room and she will pretty much be in the dark a lot of the time. I am using bronze, wire/metal and whites in this bath so felt she should join this group.
Today is Photo Art Friday over at Leanne's and she requested Roses this week because it is her birthday and roses happened to be her favorite. Unfortunately I was not able to photograph any roses this week, but I do have some dried rose petals that I saved because they were such a lovely color. So, Leanne, Happy Birthday and hope you get more than just petals for your birthday.

Until next time...
Oh, I love your finds!! Those are some of my favorite places to shop. Except I found out that the nearest Home Goods is a few hundred miles away in MS somewhere. Anyway, I love the paint colors and the decor is so chic. Glad you had a shopping day to splurge and Toby even got some pampering. :)
ReplyDeleteOh! The last shot is amazing!
You find such great stuff. The chair is very pretty and the lady is just cool, love the dispenser to the right in the sweet little basket on the counter too. The cup, another really great cup. I love your cups. Have fun decorating!

We finally got some rain last night and we really needed it. I hope you get some rain soon. I love your chair. I just picked up two just like it at Home Goods. They are green and have a little bird on them. I put them in my garden (even though I'm sure they are supposed to be inside).
ReplyDeleteLove the tea cup shot, beautiful composition and tones
