You are as old as your mind,
not the calendar.
(Some days I feel 12 other days 85)
Make each day a new day,
Refuse to live old days.
(sometimes it is difficult not to think about "the way it was")
Make bold plans.
(do trips to faraway places count?)
Set new personal bests.
(gotta think on this one for awhile)
Journey into the unknown with abandon.
(have you seen my closet lately?)

Linking up with Leanne at Flower Art Friday and Nancy at A Rural Thursday
Until next time.....
If I'm honest with myself I'm not sure I can say it doesn't matter. :)
ReplyDeleteThat clematis is beautiful!
LOVE the croc shot!
I love all these, but the colors in the image you shared with us at Flower Art Friday are astounding. The teal of her dress and the dark fuschia petals make for such a wonderful composition. Thank you so much for linking up!
ReplyDeletewhat a great message and seriously, i'll be 46 in august and i don't even feel anywhere near it. i find it so odd when people younger than me mention how old they feel, i just don't get it! love the photo of the girl with the rose petals :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and a great message!
ReplyDeleteGlorious shots! that clematis is astonishing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos...and that bit about journying into the unknown and your closet just cracked me up. I'm still giggling!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and message. I agree, age is a matter of mind... or mood. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely evening.
Ah I hear you about age and how somedays I do feel youthful and other days...well not so youthful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos.
Your FAF photo of the rose petals is just delightful.
what a great post, Deanna! I am with you about age! Your flower photo is priceless!...i love your croc shot too! don't you just love them?
ReplyDeleteLove the crocs and those flower petals and that dress, sooo cute! Haha, I usually get a good chuckle when someone mentions that we should commiserate on their 30th Birthday as if they have one foot in the grave!!
ReplyDeleteI love these quotes Deanna! Your photographs are just beautiful too :)
ReplyDeleteLove this Deanna! I think we all struggle with growing older and how to "act." I think it boils down to doing whatever makes you happy, agree?
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, dear. Thank you for sharing at RT this week. xoxo
Beautiful depictions of the quotes,Deanna! You really have an artistic eye, even if it is "older."
ReplyDeleteYou sound like and enthusiast young lady who loves her life :)...if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in the flower petals photo. Thanks for linking to Rural Thursday!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shots.. I just love the softness of the first photo. It seems like to me that my mind is as young as ever. It my body that is telling me other wise..
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Wonderful post of your thoughts regarding life and aging. The handful of petal photo says colorful and delightful to me. It's a great shot, indeed.
ReplyDeleteYes, a trip to a faraway place counts as a bold plan! Sounds like a fun book to have around. The mind over matter saying is my fave. The photos are lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love the philosophy of you are only as old as you feel. I do not see myself as my age now. But there are those days when my body defies me and I feel much older then my actual years and there are those times when I feel that wicked little devil on my shoulder prodding me to do something completely childish and indulge myself in it. I wonder if we never kept track and didn't have mirrors to see ourselves aging how "old" or "young" we would continue to remain.
