The russets and golds on these rudabekias (sp?) had Fall as their middle name.

I have no idea what these were, but loved their soft, pale yellow flowers compared to the brights that surrounded the entire area. I am linking this to Misty's Through a Photographer's Eyes favorite photo of the week.

I loved this one with it's deep ruby red petals. I can see this on my front porch.
Many of the flowers had daisy-like petals, but were cloaked in fabulous colors.

The pansy is back (hoorah!) making her fall appearance to lend her beauty to Fall plantings.
Stock (what an odd name for a flower) is another cool weather plant that adds that great punch of color.
And to this beauty I added a texture.....
As I walked thru the gardens I could hear the trickling water from the many fountains, the sound just added to the spirit lifting afternoon.
And finally this heavenly blue masterpiece. Again, no idea what this is, I guess I should bring a little notebook with me and jot down the names of these beauties, but I am in love with this stunner.
I think I promised pumpkins and fun decorating items, but I got so caught up in the flowers I didn't even look at the pumpkins....next time. Fall is a brief season but while it's here, take time to enjoy it's glory.

Until next time.....

Ohhh, love that last one...the colors are perfect! I love the little yellow flowers too. At first I was going to say that they are a type of chamomile, but I'm not so sure they are. I just saw some of them at a flower shop yesterday. Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteLooks so beautiful and summery, love the first shot specially. We have so cold here in Finland, autumn is definitely here and I have to say I don't like it so much.
ReplyDeleteHave great weekend
Wonderful collection of images. Hard to pick a favorite, I love the de-saturated shot and textured one.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers and photography are breathtaking! I just loved taking a walk through your garden centre with you! That yellow one may be Tansy? I see you have rudebeckia - I think I may have called mine a coneflower in error . . .
ReplyDeleteI can see why you chose that photo for your favorite of the week. So intriguing with the pale yellow color and the DOF. -- Kathy
